Movement demands are not won overnight. Feminists in Argentina have been mobilizing for decades to demand free, safe, and legal abortion, culminating in a beautiful victory—the legalization of abortion—at the very end of 2020. At our meeting on January 19, Natalia Tylim and Camila Valle discuss the anatomy of the victory, the deep roots of the struggle, how the feminist movement has led the way, and what lessons we can learn from Argentina’s aborteras.
